Where will Comet Panstarrs be this Friday at 6:44pm

It will be as high as Mars is above the horizon. Only 5 degrees above the horizon. This means we will need to be looking at it from a location with a very good view down to the horizon.

Here is the sample plot with information from the Sky Safari app.

Objects move 15 degrees per hour, so within twenty minutes the comet will set. It's tail being an estimated two degrees may appear above the horizon briefly as the comet disappears. It's clear that this comet would be a better object to view on Sunday if we have clear skies. The sky will be darker without a moon on Friday, but the comet will set later on Sunday being about twice as high by Sunday or Mondays sunset.
